Concert at Jindřichův Hradec Castle: An Evening of Film Music and the Czech Premiere of “Birds of Winter”

Some concerts have something truly special – a combination of place, music, emotions, and audience that creates an unforgettable experience. That was exactly the case at the concert in Jindřichův Hradec Castle, where I had the honor of performing with the Jindřichův Hradec Symphony Orchestra.

The concert took place in the beautiful Knight's Hall, which was literally filled to the last seat. The space itself has an inimitable charm, but when combined with the music we performed, it created an atmosphere that is difficult to put into words.

The evening's program consisted mainly of film melodies that are very close to my heart – not only because of their beauty, but also because of how they can reach a wide audience, evoking memories and emotions. Performing these pieces with an orchestra that played with such sensitivity, energy, and professionalism was a true musical celebration for me.

A particularly special moment came with the Czech premiere of “Birds of Winter”, a beautiful and deeply emotional composition by the legendary Maestro Gheorghe Zamfir. It was an immense honor to introduce this piece to the Czech audience in Jindřichův Hradec – and judging by the reactions of both the audience and the musicians, it touched the hearts of many of us.

The entire evening was marked by a sense of connection – between the artists on stage and the listeners in the audience. For this, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the Jindřichův Hradec Symphony Orchestra for their exceptional performance and warm collaboration, to the organizers for their excellent preparation, and of course to all of you who attended and created that unique atmosphere.

Music has the power to bring people together – and this evening was a beautiful proof that it truly does.
