About the project
The Pan Flute in All Its Glory is Petr Tomeček's flagship concert project, whose mission is to present to the public one of the most beautiful and at the same time least known musical instruments of our time in all its uniqueness. As the ambassador of the Pan flute for the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Petr Tomeček has long devoted himself not only to concert work, but also to spreading awareness of this exceptional instrument, its history, its possibilities and its extraordinarily rich world of sound.
The program sensitively blends the concert performance with captivating storytelling, personal stories, and fascinating facts about the Pan flute and its journey across cultures and centuries. Over the course of the evening, listeners encounter several types of Pan flutes made from different materials and discover their distinct tone colors and character. You'll hear famous film melodies, classical music, world-renowned evergreens and original arrangements that fully reveal the extraordinary expressive power of this instrument.
